Risus,
The Anything
RPG by S. John Ross is the best option for preparing a fast gaming
session in Cons, after dinner at home, or at any friends meeting. Its
simple game system, fast character creation and its incentives for
roleplayers turn Risus
into a versatile game, suitable for beginners and experienced players
the same way.
But Risus
is not only a
fastplay game. You can easily convert any campaign setting, and play in
those worlds you cannot wait for its own RPG rules (or you can't afford
them!)
Hope you like Risus
as much as we do. Welcome to another point
of
view over roleplaying games!
Here you can get four different versions of Risus core rules (Official files. We are a proud mirror site ^_^). All of them give the complete information needed for gaming, but file format is different, so you can choose the one that you prefer...
HTML Risus: Best viewed in any browser. If you want to have a glance before downloading, click here.
The Risus.zip file contains:
Risus TXT file: This will take less space on your hard disk, and will waste the less amount of ink when printed.
Risus RTF file: It's still a small file and cheap for printing, but text is arranged, so reading is more comfortable.
Risus PDF file: This is the biggest file, but is the one we recommend: Text in columns, nice stickmen pics, and two coloured. It looks really fine on paper.
Risus latest version: v1.51.
The Blue Room. Oficial Risus page, by S. John Ross. A must for every player, full of interesting (and free!) material.
Risusiverse. This is not an eZine. This is not a wiki. It's both and it's even better than each of them.
Unearthed Risus. Mostly a javascript based character sheet generator for Risus and a Risus conflict generator from the same mind behind Risusiverse.
Risus Monkey. Some kind of Risus blog with interesting game ideas.
Risus ML. The official Risus newsletter.
RisusTalk ML. The biggest worlwide Risus discussing group.
